The Village Presents: The Local Black Histories Film Series

In honor of Black History Month, the Village Initiative for Equity in Education, WJCC, is pleased to present the Local Black Histories Film Series.


We will screen 5 films featuring oral histories from Black leaders and community members in the greater Williamsburg area produced by Rex Ellis and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.


FEBRUARY 18: "Remembrances of Early Williamsburg"

FEBRUARY 25: "The Depression Years"

MARCH 4: "The World War II Years"

MARCH 11: "The Freedom Years"

MARCH 18: "Your Worries Ain't Like Mine"


All film screenings will begin at 7pm, and each film is approximately 45 minutes long.
